Brian O’Riordan is Executive Secretary of the Low Impact Fishers of Europe (LIFE), a European platform of national and local level organizations of small-scale fishers committed to fishing in a low impact manner. LIFE provides its members with a dedicated voice at European level, and supports them at sea basin, national and local level.

Brian has spent nearly 50 years working in the fisheries sector around the world, initially in inshore fisheries in the UK, then in technical cooperation projects. For the past 20 years he has been engaged in policy advocacy for small-scale fisheries both internationally and at European level.
